Float Nurse Practitioner (PRN) – Tampa Area

Position Overview
We are seeking a flexible and dedicated Float Nurse Practitioner (APRN/PA) to provide coverage across our clinics during provider absences, including vacations and sick leave. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in dynamic environments and values work-life flexibility while delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care
• Perform physical exams, minor procedures, and prescribe medications in accordance with state guidelines
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and follow-up on labs, imaging, and patient care plans
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Deliver patient-centered care across in-person and virtual platforms (phone, video, chat)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and health promotion activities

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program
• Active Florida APRN or PA license with DEA certification
• Board certification (ANCC or AANP for FNPs)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in primary care or urgent care
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience working with diverse patient populations
