Locum - Nurse Practitioner - Neurology Lima, OH

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide PRN coverage from 7 am to 7 pm, primarily serving adult patients in an inpatient hospital environment.
- Manage an average of 10-15 hospital-based patients daily, ensuring comprehensive neurological care.
- Collaborate with an onsite physician, with support from two additional Advanced Practice Providers in the group.
- Interpret radiologic exams (unofficially) and participate in code stroke response teams to ensure rapid and effective care.
- Utilize Epic Carepath EMR for documentation and patient management.
- Support hospital operations with lab and X-ray facilities on site.
- Adhere to clinical protocols and contribute to patient care plans in a fast-paced medical setting.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in neurology or applicable specialty.
- Experience in inpatient hospital settings, with strong competencies in adult neurology care.
- Ability to interpret radiologic exams unofficially and participate in stroke response protocols.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Epic.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working in trauma or acute care environments.
- Additional certifications related to stroke management or neurodiagnostics.
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP).
- At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in neurology or inpatient care.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work PRN hours, including occasional weekends if needed.
- Credentialing estimated to take approximately 60 days, pending license verification and background check.
- Travel or licensure reimbursements available where applicable.
