St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Outpatient Orthopedic Practices across the Capital Region. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly structured, hospital-employed orthopedic program, offering strong clinical integration, stability, and collaborative practice.  In this role, you will work side-by-side with hospital-employed orthopedic surgeons and align closely with a multispecialty network of surgical specialists, providing coordinated, high-quality musculoskeletal care. You will also be an integral member of a highly engaged and experienced Advanced Practice Provider team, practicing in a supportive, team-oriented outpatient environment.

Position Highlights:

  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient orthopedic care including patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and treatment planning
  • Perform histories and physical exams, document clinical findings, and develop care plans in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons
  • Support a hospital-employed orthopedic service line, ensuring seamless care coordination and access to resources
  • Educate patients and families, coordinate treatment plans, manage post-procedure follow-up, and order/interpret diagnostic testing
  • Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, multispecialty surgical colleagues, clinical staff, and fellow advanced practitioners
  • Practice in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient setting with a strong emphasis on teamwork and quality care

Practice Locations:

This position supports multiple outpatient sites and includes weekly travel to:

  • Troy
  • Capital Region
  • East Greenbush
  • Latham

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Excellent exposure to a wide range of orthopedic cases including total joints, spine, fractures and more
  • Join a respected Orthopedic Surgery team within Ellis Medicine including Surgeons, APPs, rehab and nursing staff

Requirements:      

  • NYS licensure as an NP or PA
  • DEA certification
  • ACLS/BLS
  • 1 year of experience in Orthopedic Surgery or Surgical office setting is required
  • New graduates will not be considered at this time 

Competitive Compensation: 

St. Peter’s Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes:

  • Base Salary: $134,120-$155,579, based on provider’s years of licensure as PA or NP
  • Annual Quality Incentive
  • $5,000 starting bonus
  • $2,500 annual CME allowance
