Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Surgical Services 
MercyOne Genesis – Davenport, Iowa 

Position Overview 
MercyOne Genesis is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our surgical team in Davenport, Iowa. This position offers a dynamic blend of operative and inpatient care, working alongside a diverse group of general surgeons. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys a fast-paced surgical environment and values team-based, high-quality patient care. 

Schedule 

• Four 10-hour shifts per week 

• Daytime schedule with flexibility based on surgical volume 

• Call opportunities available on a voluntary basis 

Key Responsibilities 

• Serve as first assist in the operating room across a variety of surgical procedures 

• Perform inpatient rounding and ongoing patient management 

• Evaluate and manage consults in the Emergency Department and hospital setting 

• Provide post-operative follow-up care, including limited clinic responsibilities 

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

Practice Environment 

• Work with a team of experienced general surgeons 

• Supportive, collegial atmosphere with strong physician-APP collaboration 

• Opportunity to build broad surgical experience and procedural skills 

Qualifications 

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program 

• Board certified/eligible (PA-C or NP) 

• Surgical experience preferred; new graduates with strong surgical training will be considered 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 

• Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
