Overview

AdventHealth Palm Coast is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) to join our Surgical Oncology team within the Digestive Health Institute. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-level inpatient and outpatient oncology care in a state-of-the-art Cancer Center, working alongside an established surgical oncologist and collaborative care team.

This position supports continuity of care for a growing oncology program and is ideal for a clinically confident APP who thrives in a team-based, patient-centered environment.

Position Details

• Specialty: Surgical Oncology
• Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient (No OR responsibilities)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Call: 1 week per month (includes weekend); no clinic during call week
• Practice Model: Collaborative team with 1 surgeon and 2 APPs
• Physician: Dr. Abubaker Ali, MD, FACS
• Location: AdventHealth Palm Coast & Palm Coast Parkway campuses

Key Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-operative management of surgical oncology patients
• Inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic follow-up
• Care coordination and oncology navigation
• Wound care and treatment planning support
• Independent clinical decision-making after onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of APP experience in one or more of the following:
• General Surgery
• Critical Care
• Oncology
• APRN or PA-C with active Florida license (or eligible)
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Experience

• Oncology or cancer-related surgical care
• Complex post-operative management
• EHR proficiency
• Bilingual skills (a plus, not required)
