Palliative Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Palliative care focuses on improving quality of life for patients and families facing serious illness—requiring strong communication, collaboration, and a patient-centered approach. At USACS, our teams are supported and structured to allow APPs to focus on meaningful, compassionate care. We’re adding a Palliative Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to our team at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Practice Highlights:

• Established palliative care program within a large health system
• Interdisciplinary team including Physicians, APPs, nursing, and support staff
• Inpatient consult service focused on symptom management and goals-of-care discussions
• Collaborative environment with strong physician support
• EMR: Epic
• 2 weeks of PTO
• No weekends or Holidays
• Monday – Friday day shift role
• Excellent compensation with an estimated employed W-2 pay of $75/hour PLUS comprehensive USACS benefits and a 10% company-funded 401k

What your practice will look like:
You’ll work closely with patients, families, and care teams to provide symptom management, facilitate goals-of-care conversations, and support complex medical decision-making. The role emphasizes communication, continuity, and coordination across disciplines to ensure care aligns with patient values and needs.
