Job Description

Providence Swedish Cancer Institute is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Clinician (ARNP or PA-C) to join the Breast Surgery team at the Issaquah, Washington campus. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside established, fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologists within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary cancer care model focused on delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, motivated, and passionate about breast health and surgical oncology. This is an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to a well-integrated breast program within one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading cancer institutes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage care for patients with a history of breast cancer, including postoperative follow-up, surveillance, and coordination of care across oncology disciplines
  • Evaluate and treat patients with benign breast disease
  • Conduct risk assessments and assist with development of personalized breast cancer surveillance plans
  • Counsel patients on breast cancer risk reduction strategies, including lifestyle modifications, medical management, and surgical options
  • Collaborate closely with breast surgeons, medical oncology, radiation oncology, nursing, genetics, and support services to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
  • Participate in a team-oriented, supportive clinical environment committed to continuous improvement and professional development

Perform office-based procedures, which may include:

  • Seroma aspirations
  • Incision and drainage of breast abscesses
  • Punch biopsies
  • Basic wound care and postoperative assessments

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible as ARNP or PA-C
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of Washington
  • Prior experience in breast surgery, surgical oncology, women’s health, or oncology is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of advanced practice experience is ideal; new graduates with strong RN experience, particularly in acute care, surgical, or oncology settings, are encouraged to apply
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Interest in long-term professional growth within a specialized breast surgery program

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation is between $149,867 and $200,257 per year
  • Compensation may include productivity, quality, or service-based incentives
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, CME, and paid time off

Swedish Medical Center's Issaquah Highlands campus is a full-service community hospital 17 miles east of downtown Seattle. The 80-bed facility provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient specialty care, including oncology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency, intensive care and a host of specialized surgical services. The Swedish Issaquah emergency department received the prestigious Summit Award by Press Ganey Associates for maintaining patient satisfaction scores in the 95th percentile or above for at least three years.
