Required Skills:

• Physician Assistant licensure and certification (PA-C)
• Current BC Critical Care Certification
• Extensive clinical experience in pediatric acute care or critical care settings
• Proven ability to manage complex cardiac conditions, including VADs, ventilator dependence, and inotropic infusions
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to write detailed, accurate daily notes and documentation

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with pediatric heart failure, heart transplants, or congenital heart disease
• Familiarity with pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification
• Previous experience working in a step-down or ICU setting
• Bilingual abilities to better serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric critical care or cardiology experience
• Prior experience in a hospital setting managing high-acuity pediatric patients

Other Requirements:

• Valid state and federal licensing and certifications
• Willingness to work rotating day shifts, including 13-hour shifts
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality care
