Inpatient Psychiatry APP needed in Killington/Rutland, Vermont

We are looking for a fulltime, Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) in our inpatient Psychiatric Services Department. Advanced Practice Providers provide medical care and treatment under the supervision and support of a team of on-site board-certified psychiatrists. Services offered include psychiatric treatment, psychotherapy sessions, group therapy in a structured setting, medication therapy, family therapy, support group meetings, relapse prevention. The position is a 7 on 7 off, 10-hour shift schedule and entails rounding on the general psychiatric unit of 6-10 patients, Mon-Friday with occasional hospital consults and 10-15 patients, Sat-Sun.
Rutland Regional Psychiatric Services recently began a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation program. The successful candidate may choose to become certified to use this innovative treatment option.

Minimum Education

• Masters Degree in Nursing or Graduate of an American Medical Association approved Physician Assistant educational program.

Minimum Work Experience

• 2 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience in specialty area being sought

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Registration with the Vermont State Education Department as a Nurse Practitioner and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or equivalent certifying bodies, or
• Registration with the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice as a Physician's Assistant and certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physicians Assistants.
• Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC) per specific department operational framework.
• Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on department specific guidelines.
