General Summary:
The PA or APRN, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:
• Performing physical examinations of patient’s evaluation and treatment of radiology patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings
• Orders appropriate diagnostic tests
• Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
• Collaborates with physician supervisor and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
• Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public
Schedule Details:
• Schedule is Monday – Friday
• Campus: AH Fish Memorial
• No call or evening requirements outside of scheduled shifts
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Strong clinical assessment and medical decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Comfort in a fast-paced, multifaceted inpatient environment
• Ability to rotate across multiple hospital campuses is required
Required Education and Experience:
• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing (APRN)
• Experience in procedural, interventional, or surgical specialties preferred (not required)
• Previous IR or fluoroscopy experience preferred but not required
• Open to new graduates with strong interest in Interventional Radiology and procedural care
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
• Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license
• Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization •
BLS and ACLS required
• Current, valid DEA license

In 1994, the hospital was renamed Volusia Medical Center and relocated to Orange City to serve the growing population of southwest Volusia County. In 1996, the Adventist Health System purchased Volusia Medical Center and in 1998, renamed the facility Florida Hospital Fish Memorial to honor the hospital’s benefactor, Judge Bert Fish. In 2003, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial expanded and in 2007 Fish Imaging opened on the hospital campus. In 2015, Deltona Health Park opened as part of our continued promise to provide quality health care to the residents of Southwest Volusia County and Fish Imaging relocated to Deltona Health Park. In January 2019, the hospital was renamed to AdventHealth Fish Memorial
