What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive urgent care to adult and pediatric patients (6 months+), managing high patient volumes with professionalism and compassion.
- Perform minor procedures including I&D, lac repairs, ear irrigations, and more.
- Utilize Epic EMR system efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation for all visits.
- Work independently as the sole provider in the center, supporting our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare in the community.
- Collaborate with a dedicated support team, including center managers, medical assistants, and supervising physicians.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 12 months of urgent care or ER experience in treating both adults and pediatrics.
- Board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or similar; NCCPA or NP Boards.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (training provided).
- Valid BLS, NC DEA license, and family NP or PA certification.
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining excellent soft skills and a positive attitude.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience performing minor procedures and managing a diverse patient demographic.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Familiarity with working in fast-paced urgent care environments.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
- At least one year of relevant urgent care or emergency medicine experience.
- Current licensure and certifications as specified.
Other Requirements:
- Local candidates only; must reside within 60 miles of Wilmington or Leland.
- Must be available to work full-time hours, including coverage during the summer months.
- Participation in EMR training sessions on scheduled Wednesdays is mandatory.
- Support staff includes center managers, medical assistants, and designated supervising physicians.
- Mileage reimbursement applicable; no travel or lodging reimbursements.
Compensation:
This position offers a highly competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00 (note: this is indicative; actual pay rates to be confirmed during the hiring process).
