Sr Physician Assistant - Critical Care Resuscitation Unit

The University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Physician Assistant I to join our Critical Care Resuscitation Unit (CCRU). Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in a critical care setting
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Manage complex and high-acuity patients within the CCRU
  • Participate in clinical decision-making and care coordination
  • Engage in quality improvement, education, and academic initiatives
  • Support evidence-based practice within a fast-paced critical care environment

 

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of Physician Assistant experience (critical care experience strongly preferred)
  • Active Maryland Physician Assistant license in good standing
  • National board certification (NCCPA) required
  • NPI, DEA, and CDS registration required
  • Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) and ACLS certification required
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with appropriate Maryland Board attestation
  • Advanced clinical practice preparation required
