Emergency Medicine PA/NP – Provider in Triage (PIT)- Hickory, NC- Frye Regional Medical Center

Mountain Emergency Physicians is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department team in a dedicated Provider in Triage (PIT) role at Frye Regional Medical Center.

This position is ideal for an experienced Emergency Medicine provider who enjoys fast-paced patient evaluation, strong team collaboration, and improving Emergency Department flow and patient experience.

Position Highlights

• Dedicated Emergency Department PIT/Triage role
• Weekday schedule only
• 4 shifts per week
• 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM shifts
• No overnight coverage required
• Focus on rapid medical screening evaluations and triage support
• Collaborative physician-led Emergency Medicine team

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly compensation based on experience ($60-$75)
• $100 hour/1099 rate
• Quarterly bonus potential

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (FNP/AGACNP)
• Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Team-oriented mindset with commitment to patient-centered care
