Ascension Seton is looking for an APRN or PA with Oncology Experience. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at our Infusion and Oncology Clinic located in Austin, TX. 

• Join an established team off 4 physicians and several fellows
• Practice setting: outpatient
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system

• Deliver comprehensive clinical assessments for oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and biotherapy, actively managing side effects and modifying care plans to ensure safe treatment delivery.

• Educate new patients and families on chemotherapy and biotherapy regimens, empowering them with a clear understanding of their treatment pathways and symptom management strategies.

• Lead rapid intervention for urgent clinical findings by serving as the primary point of contact for emergent lab and imaging results from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring swift, critical course corrections.

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of oncologists and oncology nurses to proactively prevent, identify, and manage treatment-related complications, optimizing patient outcomes.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
