Advanced Practice Provider - Internal Medicine/Primary Care

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Outpatient Internal Medicine, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is searching for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (CRNP/PA-C) to join our team! Our collaborative care team works to help patients establish goals, manage their health, connect to community/financial resources, and assist with referrals to other services. We’re looking to expand our team to welcome a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Due to the nature of this role and complexity of patient care, it is preferred that candidates have at least 2 years of experience in primary care.

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

• Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. 
• Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. 
• Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities. 
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. 
• Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient. 
• Coordinate work with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and other health care providers. 
• Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Current Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP) 
• Valid, unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number 
• Participation as a provider in good standing in the Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare programs and such other third-party-payment programs, including managed care programs in white LGMG participates.
