Join a collaborative and mission-driven oncology team at Bon Secours Cancer Institute, located on the campus of Memorial Regional Medical Center. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient hematology/oncology coverage, delivering compassionate, high-quality care to a complex patient population in a supportive, team-based environment.

  • Inpatient-focused role rounding on hematology/oncology patients
  • Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Role Overview:

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care to hematology/oncology patients, including rounding and consults
  • Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage acute and chronic oncologic conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies and manage therapies in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and supportive care needs

Qualifications:

  • For Nurse Practitioners:
    • Board certification as an FNP or AGPCNP
    • Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license required
  • For Physician Assistants:
    • PA-C certification required
    • Active Virginia Physician Assistant license required
  • Hematology/oncology experience preferred; motivated new graduate NPs and PAs with a strong interest in oncology are encouraged to apply
