Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Internal Medicine team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care to an adult demographic, working collaboratively to support our Practice Lead and ensure exceptional continuity of care. You will manage a structured mix of scheduled physicals, chronic disease management, and same-day urgent visits within a collaborative, cross-trained clinical environment.
Schedule & Balance
- Standard Work Week: Preferred Full-Time (Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with an early Friday release from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM). No evenings and no weekends.
- Part-Time Flexibility: Open to Part-Time arrangements (minimum of 3 days per week, with prorated benefits).
- Dedicated Administrative Time: Includes a half-day per week allotted specifically for charting, administrative catch-up, or covering care gaps.
- On-Call Structure: Shared outpatient phone call rotation (currently 1:3, transitioning to 1:4). True volume is remarkably low, averaging only 0 to 2 calls per day/weekend.
The Opportunity (Scope of Practice)
- Patient Demographics: Dedicated adult medicine panel (ages 18+ to geriatrics) with strong, long-term patient relationships.
- Clinical Focus: Comprehensive primary care, preventive wellness visits, comprehensive physicals, pre-operative clearances, and women's health (including pap smears).
- Patient Volume: A highly manageable pace of 14 to 18 patients per day to ensure clinical excellence.
- Pacing: Scheduled slots allow 15 minutes for routine follow-ups and 30 minutes for new patients, physicals, pre-ops, and complex multi-comorbidities. Same-day urgent care slots are integrated daily.
- In-Office Procedures: EKG, therapeutic injections, cryotherapy, and basic point-of-care labs. (Dr. Shukla handles advanced joint injections, but is highly enthusiastic about teaching these skills down the road if desired).
- Premier Support Structure: Work alongside a dedicated, cross-trained Medical Assistant pool (1:1 provider-to-MA ratio) handling triaging, detailed history-taking, and procedural setups. An on-site Privia/Quest lab phlebotomist streamlines daily diagnostics.
- Professional Growth: Opportunities exist to precept Nurse Practitioner students during clinical rotations if you enjoy teaching.
Qualifications
- Credential: Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) only.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited, brick-and-mortar institution (online programs will not be considered).
- Experience Level: Ideally looking for a provider with at least 1 year of Internal Medicine or Primary Care experience. However, we are highly supportive of exceptional New Graduates who possess a strong foundational background as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Visa Sponsorship: Not available for this position.
Compensation & Premier Benefits
- Discretionary Bonus: Performance-based annual/holiday bonus structures.
- Retirement Security: 401(k) with a 3% Safe Harbor contribution by the employer, alongside a historic average of 1.4% Profit Sharing for full-time providers.
- Time Off: Generous Paid Time Off package consisting of 15 days in Year 1, increasing to 20 days in Year 2 and beyond.
- Healthcare Support: While direct group health insurance is not provided, the practice offers a flexible monthly healthcare stipend to offset independent coverage.
