Job Description

We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology/Heart Failure Team at Methodist Hospital! 

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Day Shift 
    • 4 10-hour shifts per week
    • Rotating every 3rd -4th weekend and also rotating holidays
    • No call 
  • 100% Inpatient
  • Join a large, established group of 50 physicians and 27 APPs
  • Working directly with 4 Physicians and 4 other APP's

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will involve inpatient advanced heart failure management including initiation of guideline directed medical therapy advanced therapies, inpatient heart failure consults as well as new admissions/discharges and patient education for heart failure patients.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Required
  • ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PA certifications required
  • Experienced APP preferred
  • Open to motivated new graduates depending on prior experience and skill level. 
    • If new graduate, must have ICU/PCU nursing experience or extensive ICU or cardiology experience during clinical rotations.
  • Our ideal candidate must have excellent critical thinking skills, be able to multi-task in a high intensity setting and also have excellent communication skills.
