Hospitalist Advanced Practice Clinician in Evergreen Park, IL

Join an award-winning team of dedicated clinicians who are committed to providing world-class patient care! We are seeking an experienced advanced practice clinician to provide remote overnight cross-coverage support for adult hospitalized patients across Little Company of Mary Hospital. This per diem tele hospitalist role involves managing cross-coverage pages, addressing acute clinical needs, entering orders, and collaborating with onsite teams to ensure safe, high-quality overnight care.

Ideal candidates are confident practicing independently, comfortable with high-volume overnight workflows, and experienced in inpatient hospital medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote overnight cross-coverage for adult inpatients
• Manage acute issues (pain, blood pressure changes, glucose management, electrolytes, respiratory status, etc.)
• Triage and prioritize multiple clinical requests
• Order labs, imaging, and medications as needed
• Communicate with nurses and onsite physicians for escalations
• Document all encounters in the EHR

Requirements

• Licensed NP or PA with national certification (ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, or PA-C)
• 2 to 3 years recent inpatient hospitalist or acute-care experience, including nights
• Prior remote/tele hospitalist or cross-coverage experience preferred 
• Strong autonomous decision-making skills
• Experience with EHR systems and telemedicine
• Secure remote workspace with high-speed internet
• Licensed in IL with IL DEA

Competitive Compensation, with an estimated base salary range of $80 to $85 hourly.
