Job Description

ECU Health Physicians and East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their established primary care team.  The Department of Family Medicine at ECU is a nationally recognized leader in Family Medicine education. Located in a 120,000 sq. ft. facility, the department provides a wide variety of comprehensive primary care services for all age groups to include: geriatrics, sports medicine, office-based procedures, obstetrical care, nutrition services, counseling, and psychological support in an integrated care model.  New graduates will be considered.

  • Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient primary and urgent care at the Family Medicine Center at the Brody School of Medicine

  •  BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required

Brody School of Medicine

The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University has trained physicians for more than 50 years as the only allopathic medical school in North Carolina’s Atlantic Coastal Plain. The school’s mission is to increase the supply of primary care physicians to meet the state’s medical needs, especially in the east. It is consistently recognized as a Tier 1 institution for primary care and family medicine by U.S. News & World Report. Each year, Graduate Medical Education trains approximately 450 residents and fellows across three dozen programs.
