The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team in a unique, highly collaborative role caring for children with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an APP who is passionate about pediatric specialty care and wants to practice at the top of their license within a nationally respected academic medical center. The role offers a dynamic blend of inpatient and outpatient clinical practice, procedural experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful long-term patient relationships.
In this full-time position, you will:
• Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric hematology/oncology patients with physician collaboration as needed
• Manage chemotherapy treatments according to established protocols
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic testing
• Perform invasive procedures including bone marrow aspirates
• Coordinate complex care plans to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and safe patient care
• Serve as a key liaison between the healthcare team, patients, and families
• Integrate evidence-based practice and research into clinical care delivery

Qualifications:
• Master of Science Degree and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current Maryland Nurse Practitioner licensure and specialty certification
• DEA and CDS eligible
• PALS/BCLS certification as required
• Minimum of three (3) years of Nurse Practitioner experience required
