Job Summary:

Mission Health is seeking an experienced Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider to join our Behavioral Health team in Asheville, NC.

Qualified Candidates:

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
• PMHNP or psychiatry CAQ Physician Assistant certification required
• At least 1 year of experience as a practicing advanced practice provider in psychiatry / behavioral health
• Candidates must be able to see pediatric patients
• Confidence in conducting psychiatric evaluations and provides ongoing medication management services
• Please note that this position does not offer visa support

Position Highlights:

• 100% inpatient setting at Sweeten Creek
• 24 bed Child & Adolescent Unit
• 7 on / 7 off schedule with 10-hour shifts
• Supports Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists with therapeutic case management, ER case consults, and group therapy management

About Mission Health’s Behavioral Health Services:

• 120-bed freestanding behavioral health hospital, Sweeten Creek, which opened in 2023
• Two adult, one geriatric, one child, and one adolescent inpatient units
• 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
• Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department
• Active ECT program
