Pediatric Urgent Care APP

Join Wake Forest Emergency Providers as an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) in North Carolina—part of Advocate Health, one of the largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country.

Urgent Care Clinics

Our advanced Urgent Care offers a meaningful opportunity to care primarily for pediatric patients with immediate health care needs, including minor procedures, breathing treatments, IV fluids, and more. This unique setting helps bridge the gap between outpatient and inpatient care, allowing providers to make a timely and meaningful impact for patients and families.

What you'll do:

In this role, you’ll provide expert care with a strong level of independence while using thoughtful medical judgment, appropriate diagnostic testing, advanced procedural skills, and the support of emergency resources and community partners when needed.

This role is supported by a 100% Advanced Practice Provider staffing model, offering a collaborative and APP-focused environment. Our Urgent Care APPs will learn to manage acute and chronic conditions with increasing independent expertise and are encouraged to practice at the top of their license.

You’ll have excellent access to ED attendings and the Medical Director for Pediatric Urgent Care by phone or email, ensuring you feel connected, supported, and never far from guidance when needed. This opportunity offers a rewarding blend of independence within the building, along with the collaboration, resources, and backing of a larger organization.

This position includes a co-appointment with the Atrium Health Wake Forest Brenner’s Pediatric Emergency Department, where 20% of your monthly hours will be spent working alongside a collaborative team of APPs, residents, fellows and attendings.  As a level 1 pediatric trauma center and burn center with the full array of pediatric sub-subspecialists, you will be a part of a fast-paced ED in which to further develop your skills as Pediatric Acute Care specialist – bringing ED-level care into our communities!
