***Daytime shift 7AM-7PM; 12 hour shifts/ average of 14 shifts a month***
The SCT/CT Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will manage patients with hematologic malignancies and ancillary treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, Autologous Stem Cell Transplant, Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant, Chimeric Antigen Receptor Therapy, and Bispecific Therapies, as well as treating complications arising from the disease and treatment. They are responsible for admissions, admission orders, conditional transfusion therapies, and obtaining consent for transfusions and procedures. They will perform a detailed history, physical exam, assessment/plan, and review medications and give refills. They are responsible for evaluating a patient with a change of status, experiencing adverse reactions, placing labs/emergency medications as needed, and transferring to a higher level of care if needed. They are responsible for consulting ancillary teams if needed. They can perform procedures within the inpatient and clinical/infusion setting. They are responsible for discharges, sending prescription medications, reviewing medications with the patients, and arranging follow-up care.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum 1 years experience.
Certification: American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) & ACLS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Training Program OR
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN), Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Licensure:
Licensed/certified and eligible to practice as Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona OR
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Arizona
