Plastic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Position Title: Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) - Plastic Surgery
Location: Eye and Ear Institute (EEI Clinic), Columbus, Ohio

Position Summary

Ohio State University Physicians (OSUP) is seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Plastic Surgery team at the Eye and Ear Institute (EEI) Clinic in Columbus, Ohio.  This full-time provider will work collaboratively with a team of 10 providers, physicians, and multidisciplinary clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care across aesthetic, reconstructive, and plastic surgery services and wound care.

The APP will play a key role in patient evaluation, treatment planning, perioperative management, postoperative care, and office-based aesthetic procedures while providing an outstanding patient experience aligned with OSUP's commitment to excellence in healthcare.

Schedule

Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations, including medical histories and physical examinations (approximately 15 patients per day).
• Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery settings.
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care and education.
• Perform aesthetic procedures during designated clinic sessions, including Botox, laser treatments, and other cosmetic services within scope of practice.
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Provide dedicated postoperative patient management following surgical procedures.
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and institutional requirements.

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Ohio licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• National board certification as an NP or PA or NCCPA certification required for Physician Assistants
• DEA registration or eligibility for Ohio licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Plastic Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Wound Care,  Facial Plastics, Aesthetics, or another surgical specialty.
• Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic medical record systems.
