We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine team at Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Pontiac, Michigan. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current Michigan Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain)
  • National board certification appropriate to specialty and licensure
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Prior experience in Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep Medicine, Hospital Medicine, or a related specialty preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care

 

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Evaluating and managing patients in the Intensive Care Unit in collaboration with Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians
  • Conducting inpatient pulmonary consultations and follow-up visits
  • Providing outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine care, including new patient evaluations and follow-up appointments
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for patients with pulmonary and sleep disorders
  • Interpreting diagnostic testing, including pulmonary function tests and sleep study results, as appropriate
  • Performing procedures consistent with APP training, credentialing, and organizational policies
  • Documenting patient encounters and care plans in Epic EMR
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
  • Educating patients and families regarding disease management, treatment plans, and preventive care
  • Supporting clinical programs focused on lung cancer screening, lung nodule management, and pulmonary disease management
