What You’ll Do:
- Assist in adult inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic surgeries
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and patient histories
- Support perioperative care and post-op recovery
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and medical staff
- Manage patient visits, documentation, and EMR updates in EPIC
- Participate in weekend rounds and on-call coverage as scheduled
What You Need:
Required:
- Active Physician Assistant license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of surgical PA experience, preferably in cardiothoracic care
- Certification in BLS
- Ability to obtain hospital privileges (training provided)
Preferred:
- Previous experience in adult inpatient settings
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced surgical environments
