Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Georgetown is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our collaborative Urgent Care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, experienced APP who values work-life balance, predictable scheduling, strong team support, and meaningful patient relationships.

• Manageable daily patient volume averaging 23–30 patients per day

Clinic Hours

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

• Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

The Opportunity

As a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care, you will evaluate and treat adult patients with a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries. You'll have the opportunity to practice evidence-based medicine while working closely with physicians and an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations

• Evaluating and diagnosing acute illnesses and injuries

• Ordering, collecting, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic testing

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and evidence-based medicine

• Prescribing medications and recommending appropriate therapies

• Performing procedures within your scope of practice, clinical privileges, and level of expertise

• Evaluating patients' responses to treatment and the effectiveness of care

• Educating and counseling patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, nutrition, health promotion, and prevention

• Discussing medication regimens, potential side effects, and possible interactions with patients

• Coordinating referrals and consultation when appropriate or when a patient's needs exceed scope of practice or expertise

• Maintaining accurate medical records documenting treatment plans and outcomes

• Collaborating with physicians and other members of the care team

• Providing consultation-level services for conditions related to your specialty and training

• Performing additional patient care duties based on departmental coverage needs

Preferred experience: At least one year of relevant APP experience.

• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

 Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
