Job Description

General Notes Responsibilities Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines Participate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient care Perform all admission history & physicals Conduct daily hospital rounds, document progress notes, write orders, and assist with implementation of therapeutic fetal surgery plans Order and interpret laboratory studies Discharge planning including documentation, writing prescriptions, explaining discharge/post-operative instructions, and patient education Willingness to acquire limited ultrasound skills such as the assessment of fetal viability, fetal presentation, biophysical profiles and ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures Chart review and data collection for the neonatal follow-up for clinical database Multi-disciplinary conference presentation preparation Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, associate providers, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive clinical care Ensure continuous flow of communication with leadership of clinic to enhance quality of healthcare services to patients Provide patient navigation to provide seamless care coordination between inpatient and outpatient settings Participate in the education of medical students, OB/GYN residents, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows Support and participate in research initiatives within the Center Other related functions as assigned Required Qualifications Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner through an approved certifying organization (e.g., AANP or ANCC) Current (Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to utilize software for data entry, information retrieval as well as outpatient and inpatient electronic medical records Aptitude to work in a multi-physician practice in a complex environment; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients Preferred Qualifications   Previous experience in women’s health, OBGYN or family medicine preferred. #healthstartshere4 Salary Range $110,000+ depending on qualifications
