• Duration: Ongoing until perm hire
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7 days/week operation (8a-8p)
• Hours/Week: 24 hours (3 shifts per week)
• Employment Type: Locum
• Licenses/Certifications: Active Nurse Practitioner license, BLS required
• Experience: Prior urgent care experience preferred

• Pay Rate: $150/hr

What You’ll Do:

• Provide urgent care evaluations for a diverse outpatient patient population
• Perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, splinting, and orthopedic stabilization
• Interpret X-rays and EKGs; review rapid COVID, flu, strep, and other point-of-care tests
• Manage common urgent complaints including lacerations, nosebleeds, and minor burns
• Document thoroughly in Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care

What You Need:

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• BLS certification (or higher)
• Minimum 1 year of urgent or emergency care experience
• Skilled in suturing, I&D, trauma stabilization, and point-of-care testing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
