What You’ll Do
- Provide urgent care services to a diverse patient population, ages birth to death
- Perform procedures including laceration repairs, I&D, foreign body removal, splinting, and basic orthopedic stabilization
- Interpret X-Rays and EKGs; review rapid lab tests (strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV)
- Manage epistaxis, cerumen impactions, and airway support as needed
- Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
- Support a high-volume outpatient clinic with 25-50 patients daily, depending on the season
What You Need
- Active Virginia Physician Assistant license
- Minimum 3+ years of urgent care or emergency medicine experience, preferably with pediatrics
- Proficiency in suturing, I&D, orthopedic stabilization, and point-of-care testing
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
