What You’ll Do

• Provide urgent care services including laceration repairs, suturing, I&D procedures, foreign body removal, and skin lesion care
• Manage minor burns, orthopedic injuries, splinting, and joint reduction
• Conduct diagnostics such as X-ray interpretation and point-of-care testing (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, blood glucose)
• Administer nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization
• Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR
• Handle episodic trauma and higher acuity cases, referring complex cases to higher-level facilities as needed

What You Need

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia
• Active BLS certification
• Prior urgent care or emergency department experience (minimum 2+ years preferred)
• Strong skills in suturing, incision & drainage, point-of-care testing, and trauma stabilization
