OSF HealthCare is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing, high-volume General Surgery department to support inpatient and clinical operations.
- Pre-op evaluations and preparation for surgery, post-op patient management, discharge planning, and transitions of care.
- Evaluate and manage routine and complex post-op issues, including wound care, pain management, and medication adjustments.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and specialty consultations.
- Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing staff, case management, rehabilitation services, and consulting specialties to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Inpatient and outpatient clinical support, including patient follow-up visits and education.
- 8-hour day shifts.

- Full-time, clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-$68.10. This position is paid hourly.

Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed to provide either advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act OR physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987.
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
- BLS/ACLS Certified.
- Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
- Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
- Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) is required for APNs.
- 2+ years of surgery or critical care experience preferred.
