Job Summary:
HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking to recruit a cardiovascular PA/NP to provide support to a busy, employed cardiothoracic surgeon in the north Houston suburb community of Conroe. The incoming PA/NP will also support the hospital's cardiac service line. Position is open to new grad PAs or NPs interested in cardiothoracic surgery or have an interest in the cardiac service line.Qualified candidates:
- Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Ability to obtain or maintain an active Texas medical license
- New grad PAs or NPs will be considered - but must have strong cardiothoracic experience or passion for cardiac work or cardiothoracic surgery.
- See consults & established/post-operative patients
- Conduct pre-rounding
- Testing/lab follow up
- Review patients' medications
- Able to remove chest tubes/pacer wires
- Schedule surgeries
- Stay organized and speak to families to address any questions or concerns
