Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant-Hem-Onc-Lafayette, IN

Indiana University Health Medical Group has an exciting career opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its collaborative Hem/Onc team, located in Lafayette, IN at Arnett Cancer Center.   

Career Opportunity Details

• Full Time
• Days; Monday-Friday
• No call
• 50% Outpatient / 50% Inpatient
• Collaborating physicians on site 
• Formal orientation in place with our Hematology Oncology department chairman as the onsite mentor

Patient Population:

• Oncology and Hematology adult patients

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-manage patients first chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatment, follow up visits and urgent visits.   
• Provide education to patients for chemo, biotherapy, and any infusion service.
• Staff education and development
• Covering Inpatient rounding for established Oncology patients 

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree required
• Ability to obtain IN License
• Experienced candidates preferred (AOCN and/or OCN certification ideal), however having experience with Oncology patients either in training or prior experience is acceptable.
