The Behavioral Health APP (Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner), under a physician's collaboration, provides assessment and treatment to patients with psychiatric conditions.
Provides assessment and medication management for patients in the AdventHealth Porter Centre for Behavioral Health.
Assures timely and accurate entries of medical histories, progress notes, and treatment recommendations in the patients' medical records.
Assures all patient management documentation, including pharmaceutical modalities, is outlined in the patient's medical record.
Practices within scope, as delineated by education and training including prescriptive privileges and in accordance with collaborating physician guidelines.
Collaborates with the clinic Medical Assistants.
Refers patients for laboratory, radiology and other specialty care as needed for services that cannot be provided at the practice.
Assures that adequate patient health records and confidentiality are maintained under HIPAA regulations.
Participates with supervising physician in a periodic review of the patients' health records and treatment plans.
Appropriately charges for services rendered according to Federal, State, and third-party payors laws, rules and regulations.
Performs other clinical duties as required, such as evaluating and treating patients in the intensive outpatient programs and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Must have knowledge of local, state and federal regulations regarding the delivery and billing of healthcare services.
Experience in either an outpatient or inpatient psychiatric setting.
Master's degree and certification from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Current Colorado Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
