Cardiology Nurse Practitioner - Ambulatory Care

Blanchard Valley Health System is seeking an Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our Ambulatory Cardiovascular Team. This position provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to cardiology patients in the outpatient setting, working closely with our cardiologists and multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new and established cardiology patients.
• Manage stable cardiovascular conditions including hypertension, CAD, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, arrhythmias, and valvular disease.
• Evaluate cardiac symptoms and appropriately triage patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, rhythm monitoring, and laboratory studies.
• Initiate and manage cardiovascular medications, including anticoagulation and guideline-directed therapy.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care and transitional care following hospitalization.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with cardiologists and the broader care team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner with current Ohio APRN license or eligibility.
• Cardiology or related experience preferred.
• New graduates are welcome to apply; prior cardiology or APP experience is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• $130,000–$140,000 base salary (40 hours/week; includes 200 hours vacation/CME)
• $68.55/wRVU productivity bonus – uncapped
• $3,500 annual CME/board certification allowance
