Physician Assistant - Neurology/Stroke

SUMMARY

As a Physician Assistant, your strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care will support the delivery of high-quality neurological care. In this role, you will work with patients at Rochester General Hospital and Unity Hospital, providing hospital follow-up and ongoing post-stroke care.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital & Unity Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Neurology

SCHEDULE: Days, Monday Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patient Care. Evaluate and manage patients following hospitalization for acute stroke and other neurological conditions- obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations- assess patient progress and develop and implement treatment plans

• Follow-Up Care. Provide post-stroke follow-up and ongoing management, monitor response to treatment, address new or recurring symptoms, and coordinate appropriate diagnostic testing and specialty care

• Treatment. Prescribe medications, provide patient education, and make appropriate referrals in collaboration with the neurology team

• Documentation. Maintain accurate and timely medical records, update patient charts, and complete required clinical documentation
