Children’s Mercy Kansas City is recruiting a psychologist with expertise in autism, developmental disabilities and associated mental health conditions to join the Autism Clinic embedded within the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health. The primary focus of this position will be delivery of autism/developmental diagnostic evaluations, with the option to provide additional clinical services based on candidates’ expertise and interests (e.g., delivery of evidence-based intervention). The positions also include opportunities to engage in a variety of other professional activities, including clinical training/education through the hospital’s APA-accredited psychology internship, psychology and developmental-behavioral pediatrics fellowships, pediatric clerkship and residency programs, and psychology practicums.
Interested candidates will also be invited to contribute to community educational and outreach efforts, as well as research and program development activities focused on autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities. The positions carry academic appointments at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine, with rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
