Summary
In this role, you will provide hands-on care for high-risk and preterm infants, including attending deliveries and managing delivery room care for infants born at less than 35 weeks gestation. You’ll be responsible for NICU admissions, performing detailed histories and physicals, and managing the ongoing care of current NICU patients. The position includes participation in both ground and air neonatal transport and active involvement in multidisciplinary care management meetings. You will also provide phone and telehealth consultations to referring community providers, support the pediatric hospitalist service as needed, and ensure accurate hand-off documentation to support safe, seamless transitions of care.

Working in our Level III NICU, you will have the opportunity to participate as a provider in a wide range of procedures, including neonatal intubation, umbilical line placement, chest tube insertion, arterial puncture and arterial line placement, ventilator management, and whole-body cooling for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), as well as other procedures as applicable.
