Overview:

As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at CentraCare, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to our neonatal patients. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of clinical and consultative duties, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend deliveries and manage the delivery room care of infants less than 35 weeks gestation and other high-risk cases.
  • Conduct admissions, including detailed history and physical examinations.
  • Perform assessments and ongoing management of current NICU patients.
  • Participate in ground and air transports of neonatal patients.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary care management team meetings.
  • Provide phone and telehealth consultations to community providers within our referral area.
  • Offer consultations to the pediatric hospitalist service as needed.
  • Update and prepare hand-off documentation prior to morning hand-off.

Procedures:

You will have the opportunity to participate in the following procedures:

  • Intubation
  • Umbilical line placement
  • Chest tubes
  • Arterial puncture
  • Arterial line placement
  • Ventilator management
  • Whole body cooling for HIE
  • Others as applicable

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Preferred 2 years’ experience as an NNP or PA.
  • Graduated with a Master or Doctorate degree in Neonatology or formal training and/or Neonatology experience as a Physician's Assistant.
  • Neonatal Certification.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to neonates and their families.

Schedule:

  • Primarily 12-hour shifts (with potential for 24-hour shifts).
  • Shifts from 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am.
  • Day and night shifts.
  • Every third weekend and holiday.

Pay and Benefits

  • Starting pay begins at $125,028.80 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience 
  • Salary range: $125,028.80 - $172,369 per year 
  • Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate
