Job Title: Registered Nurse
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Schedule: Mon-Fri, Mostly days + (1) one evening per week until 7:30 PM

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring the well-being of our patients and for providing a positive, supportive environment for patients and other staff while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practitioners, front office and clinical staff. The registered nurse provides patient assessment, monitoring, and medication administration.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments prior to treatment administration.
  • Complete patient documentation for all assessments and procedures.
  • Perform patient teaching.
  • Providing nursing interventions in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Delegating tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • Administer medication directed by a medical provider's order.
  • Coordinate daily patient care flow and Triage patients as needed
  • Manage inventory of supplies; restock exam/procedure rooms
  • Assist in maintaining all quality control, clinic inspection, and machine maintenance on a daily basis and report any and all discrepancies appropriately.
  • Manage day to day medication stock by ensuring patient medication available for appointment times and ordering medication.
  • Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications

  • Work Experience: Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (required).
  • Mental health experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Current Texas RN license (required).
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required,  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Skills: Knowledge of or experience monitoring and recording vital signs in patients; Knowledge of or experience with medical terminology; Experience providing care to individuals in a medical setting. Psychiatric ED or outpatient experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills – must be able to communicate with patients as well as medical staff.
  • Ability to follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

  • Base salary: $80,000-$85,000

Working Conditions: This role is center-based and requires working in a clinical setting. The noise level is moderate. It will require the ability to stand and sit for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Hours may vary based on location, patient volume, and business needs.
