Position Summary:

Under the limited supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level with minimal to no supervision. As will all Diagnostic Imaging Technologists, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is qualified to care for patients in the following age groups; neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology program required.
  • Completion of a certified Nuclear Medicine Technology program at an AMA approved school and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience as accepted by accrediting agencies is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Nuclear Medicine equipment and procedures.

Required Licensure/Certification(s):

  • Current NM State Licenses, current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and current Nuclear Medicine certificate are required.
  • Current verification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. (If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.
