Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant performs patient care activities under the supervision of the Director of Clinics, Clinic Manager, RNs and/or physicians. May assist physicians and patient care staff with medical outpatient procedures. Demonstrates the ability to provide age appropriate and culturally sensitive care to patients in the assigned area(s). The Medical Assistant is responsible for completing all duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent or a combination of experience in lieu of a diploma is required.

Experience:

• Completion of an accredited MA program or a minimum of (5) years’ experience as a medical assistant in a physician practice.

Required Licensure/Certification(s):

• BLS certification required. (If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.)
