US Heart and Vascular is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham, AL.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform PET and SPECT scans
  • Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have
  • Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required
  • Operate imaging equipment
  • Maintain detailed procedure records
  • Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures

Requirements, Skills, and Abilities

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
  • Registered with ARRT or NMTCB
  • BLS/CPR certification
