*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized orthodontic assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing appointments, ensuring efficient operations, and providing excellent patient care. This position requires strong communication skills, an unceasingly positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under close supervision of the orthodontist
* Provide exceptional and efficient patient care and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction
* Join in practice marketing and community events
* Review patient charts, log appropriate patient data and transcribe doctor notes
* Educate patients on orthodontic care
* Clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment and operatory
* Adhere to all infection-control policies and protocols
* Managing and scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and checking in / out patients
* Setup & monitor treatment plans / coordinate patient care
* Work as a team player to optimize scheduling efficiency and patient flow
* Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
* Provide support in office management tasks as needed
*Requirements*
* An active dental assisting license, or plans to obtain one within 6mo
* A positive attitude as you provide care to patients in the clinic.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
