*Job Responsibilities:*
* Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies.
* Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
* Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
* Application of preventatives.
* Documents dental hygiene services by charting in patient records.
* Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
* Greets and dismisses patients.
* Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
* Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
* Schedules patient for next dental hygiene visit.
* Performs all duties in accordance with HIPAA, OSHA and office policies.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols.
*Qualifications*
* Active Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
* Current local anesthesia certification (preferred, if applicable)
* CPR/BLS certification
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
* Experience with digital charting and dental software preferred
