Speech-Language Pathologist - *Program Leadership & Growth Opportunity*
Roots Autism Solutions is an innovative, multidisciplinary pediatric therapy provider dedicated to helping children with autism and related developmental needs reach their fullest potential.
At Roots, collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Our Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Analysts, and Behavior Therapists work side-by-side to provide truly integrated, individualized care for every child we serve.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated *Speech-Language Pathologist who is excited to do more than simply step into a traditional clinical role.*
This is a unique opportunity for an SLP who wants to *help shape, strengthen, and grow a robust speech and language program within an established pediatric therapy organization.*
We're looking for someone who sees themselves as a *clinician and a leader*-someone who enjoys working directly with children but is also energized by the opportunity to develop programs, mentor other clinicians, improve clinical systems, and help build a thriving speech department.
What You'll Have the Opportunity to Do
In addition to providing high-quality clinical care, you'll have the opportunity to take an active role in the continued development and growth of our Speech & Language program.
You will:
* Provide engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy to children ages 2-11 in a clinic-based setting
* Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
* Help shape and expand Roots' Speech & Language program, including clinical processes, programming, and best practices
* Serve as a clinical leader and resource as the speech department continues to grow
* Help mentor, support, and collaborate with other SLPs and Clinical Fellows
* Identify opportunities to expand speech services and strengthen the quality and consistency of programming across our organization
* Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists, Behavior Analysts, Behavior Therapists, and other clinicians to provide truly interdisciplinary care
* Partner with leadership on ideas and initiatives that support the long-term growth of the Speech & Language program
* Communicate and collaborate with families to help carry therapeutic strategies into everyday life
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to *make an impact beyond their individual caseload.*
Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to have a voice in how a program develops and who takes pride in helping build a strong clinical team and culture.
You may be a great fit if you:
* Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
* Hold or are eligible for Illinois state licensure
* Have experience working with pediatric populations, with autism and developmental disability experience strongly preferred
* Have an interest in clinical leadership, mentorship, or program development
* Enjoy collaborating across disciplines and believe children benefit when clinicians truly work together
* Are organized, proactive, and comfortable bringing forward new ideas
* Want the opportunity to help build something-not simply inherit a caseload
Leadership experience is valued, but we are equally interested in an experienced SLP who is *ready to take the next step into leadership and program development.*
Why Roots?
At Roots, you won't be joining a large speech department where your role is already narrowly defined.
You'll have the opportunity to *help define what our Speech & Language program can become.*
You'll work alongside an established multidisciplinary team while having the support and flexibility to bring new ideas forward, develop programming, strengthen clinical systems, and help grow a speech department you can be proud of.
What We Offer
* Competitive salary: $60,000-$80,000/year
* Full-time and part-time opportunities
* Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance
* Opportunity for leadership and professional growth as the Speech & Language program expands
* Supportive, collaborative interdisciplinary environment
* Professional development and continuing education opportunities
* Health, vision, and dental insurance
* 401(k) matching
* A positive, inclusive workplace culture where your ideas and expertise are valued
