IES, Integrative Emergency Services, a physician-owned private practice is recruiting physicians to join the Pediatric Emergency Medicine team in the Children's ER at Tucson Medical Center.

Positions:

  • Full Time, Part Time, PRN
  • Full Time Nocturnist 
  • 1 Academic Fellowship position (90 hours clinical & 30 hours admin)

Starting Bonus or Fellowship Stipend:

  • $25k Signing bonus for full-time position with one year commitment
  • $50k Signing bonus for full-time position with two year commitment
  • $2k per month Fellowship Stipend available for up to 18 months

TMC for Children:

  • Volume: 27,000
  • Admission Rate: 6% 
  • Transfer Rate: 1%
  • Patients/Hour: 1.8-2 per clinician
  • Physician Coverage: 27 hours daily
  • Physician Shifts: 9 hours (7a - 4p; 3p - 12a; 10p - 7a)
  • APP Coverage: 12 hours daily (18 hours in winter)
  • Pedi ED Beds: 14
  • Pedi Hospital Beds: 33
  • NICU: 42-bed, Level III
  • PICU: 12 beds  
  • EMR: Epic
  • Dictation: DAX Copilot AI Scribe
  • Full range of pediatric subspecialist physicians on staff including around-the-clock pediatric hospitalists

Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship Position 

This structured two-year program offers an additional stipend of $2,000 per month for 30 administrative hours per month of training and 90 clinical hours at the site clinical rate with a comprehensive benefits package on your first shift. The fellowship is an immersive program that provides hands-on training with hospital and emergency department leaders, as well as formal classroom learning on topics such as credentialing, recruiting, medico-legal aspects of medicine, business management of medicine, quality, leadership skills, etc. Learn from your peers in monthly interactive sessions with your cohorts in locations around the country and attend regional or national meetings. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your leadership skills while still practicing medicine.

Qualifications

  • BC/BE Pediatrician with Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship  
    • or BC Pediatrician with Pediatric Critical Care fellowship & 10 years hospital ER experience 
    • or BC Pediatrician with 5 years hospital ER experience 
    • or BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician with Pediatric Emergency Fellowship or combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Medicine residency.
  • Arizona Medical License (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA
  • PALS & NRP required

Compensation

  • Pediatric ED: $250/hr average - $170 per hour base pay plus RVU plus 10% Quality Service Performance metrics pay
  • Quality Service Performance metrics pay: is based on metrics established annually and is paid monthly
  • Night Shift Differential: $15/hr 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. (excludes cross-over shifts)
  • Holiday Bonus Pay: $85.00 per hour bonus pay on designated holidays
