The Division of Thoracic Surgery at Stamford Health, in collaboration with Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Thoracic Surgeon at the Assistant Professor level to join our expanding team.
Position Highlights:
- Candidates should be proficient in all aspects of general thoracic surgery, including pulmonary, mediastinal, and esophageal disease.
- Expertise in robotic (Da Vinci) and VATS (video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery) is required.
- The role includes opportunities for clinical and/or translational research.
- Teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents will be expected.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be employed by Stamford Health and hold a faculty appointment at Columbia University. The primary clinical site will be Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut, with secondary responsibilities at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and potentially at NYP satellite facilities in Bronxville and the Hudson Valley.
Applicants must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree.

- Active participation in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) General Thoracic Surgery Database
